DAY 01: ARRIVE TO LIMA
On arrival to Lima airport, reception and private transport to the selected hotel in Miraflores.
A representative of the agency will welcome you and make a briefing about the trip. Rest of
day free at leisure for personal activities.
DAY 02: FULL DAY PARACAS and ICA
After breakfast, at an agreed time, transfer to the pier for the maritime tour: The Ballestas
Islands and chandelier in slider, in the journey will pass through the bay, the port of San
Martin where we will see the „Candelabro”, and in the Ballestas Islands are able to observe
the great marine fauna. Its formations are one of the most beautiful landscapes of the
Peruvian coast. At the end of this excursion, departure to Ica in a private special bus
service. Upon arrival, reception, start city tour visiting the beautiful Huacachina Oasis”
where we will go sandboarding and buggies, ending with the Regional Museum, Vineyard
and Winery taster. At coordinated time, return to Lima city to the hotel.
DAY 03: LIMA- CUSCO: CITY TOUR (PRIVATE SERVICE)
Early in the morning transfer to the airport to departure to Cusco city, free for
acclimatization. In the afternoon (14.30 hrs. Approx.) visit to the Cathedral, main square,
Temple of the Sun Koricancha, streets and later Ascent to the Archaeological Park of
Sacsayhuaman and ceremonial centers of Kenko, Tambomachay and the fortress of
Pukapukara. Return to the hotel to realize that they have been to places of our planet very
special, what makes us feel special, overnight.
DAY 04: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – OLLANTAYTAMBO
After breakfast at the hotel, we leave for our excursion to the Sacred Valley. It is 08.30
o’clock. Our first stopover is at the market place of Pisac. Almost all inhabitants dress
their historical dresses. Here, one still can swap instead of using money. We have
lunch at Urubamba before visiting the citadel of Ollantaytambo, guided visit to the
wonderful fortress. This town has several noble titles, among them “The best tourist
village of the world”
“The only living Inka people” overnight in this town.
DAY 05 INKA TRAIL
(L)(D): Ollantaytambo – Piscacucho – Wayllabamba
The adventure begins today in Ollantaytambo, for last minute supplies, leg-stretching or to
use the restrooms, before continuing to Piscacucho.
Inca Trail Day One
In Piscacucho, kilometer eighty two, you will get acquainted with the rest of the crew and
the porters who will be carrying the camping equipment. This point is where our hiking trail begins, it is also the location of the first
official Inca Trail check point. After clearing the gates and crossing a suspension footbridge
across the Urubamba river, the trek begins with a gentle climb. Following the course of the
river, the first three hours are on relatively flat terrain. Superb views of the snow-capped
peak of Wakay Willka known as Veronica can be observed as well as the Urubamba
mountain range which divides the jungle and the Andes. You are now approaching the Inca
fortress of Willka Raccay.
After lunch, you will continue hiking towards the extensive Inca settlement of Llactapata
(Patallacta on some maps) and appreciate the impressive farming terraces of this complex.
The Inca Trail follows the left bank of the river up to the village of Wayllabamba at 9840 feet
above sea level (3000 masl) where you will enjoy dinner and camp for the night: Buenas
noches amigos!

DAY 06 (B)(L)(D):
Wayllabamba, Warmi Wañuska (Dead Woman’s Pass), Paqaymayu
” Si se puede! “
Early wake up call, with hot tea brought to your tent, in order to prepare for today’s trek
which is considered by many, the hardest. You need to complete a steep ascent reaching
an altitude of 13779 feet above sea level (4200 masl) at Warmi Wañuska pass.
After breakfast, depart from the campsite at around 07:00 hrs. The uphill hike through
Llulluchapampa will give you the opportunity to appreciate several species of birds (with
luck you may see falcons, hummingbirds or black-chested eagles). From here the trail
traverses a beautiful cloud forest full of Polylepis or Queñua trees before entering the puna,
a zone characterized by treeless grasslands only found at this altitude across the Andes.
Dead Woman’s Pass – Warmi Wañuska
Walk at your own pace, stop as many times as you like, to catch your breath or to stretch a
muscle. The last hard climb takes us right to the highest pass of the inca trail at Warmi
Wañuska. Once at the top you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the Andes, the
Huananay massif and the surrounding snow-covered peaks. You will also feel a great
sense of accomplishment after conquering Dead Woman’s pass. Remember to have a
warm jacket and your beanie at hand when reaching this altitude as temperatures may drop
drastically. After a deserved rest, continue traversing the slopes on the left side of the valley
all the way to our campsite in Paqaymayu at 11811 feet above sea level (3600 masl). You
will find toilet facilities here.

DAY 07 (B)(L)(D):
Paqaymayo Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca, Wiñayhuayna
Que lindo dia!
Possibly the longest day of inca trail hiking but one that will bring splendid landscapes and
vistas. A perfectly scheduled cup of hot tea will follow the wake up
call at around 06:00 hrs. Enjoy breakfast with your trekking comrades and prepare yourself
to hike along well preserved Inca pathway, for the most part, being original.
Start with a steady ascent to the second highest pass at Runkuracay reaching 12400 feet
above sea level (3780 masl) and passing through a circular inca control point that occupies.
a commanding position overlooking the spectacular Vilcabamba mountain range below.
Catch your breath and realize the rest of inca trail is mostly downhill. Be careful with your
knees as the descent from the pass to the ruins of Sayacmarca is very steep and you may
feel the strain at the end of the day. It is recommended the use of trekking poles, additional
gel insoles and perhaps an additional porter.
Inca Trail Day Three – Sayacmarca
Take a pause at this archeological complex located at 11472 feet above sea level (3497
masl) for an in depth tour and explanation. The name Sayacmarca means “inaccessible
town” and clearly describes the position of the site, perfectly perched on the edgy rocks.
The one of a kind Inca trail, now a monumental structure of granite stones, continues
through ever-changing layers of cloud forest full of rare orchids, hanging mosses,
bromeliads and tree ferns. Past the inca tunnel, a gentle climb will take you to the third pass
at 12139 feet above sea level (3700 masl), offering incredible views of several snow
capped peaks including Salkantay (20574 ft./6271m) and Veronica (18865 ft./5750m).
Close to the pass you will find the impressive ruins of Phuyupatamarca (cloud-level town).
A brief explanation of the mysteries of Inca architecture, before continuing along splendid
paved Inca road to the impressive agricultural site of Intipata and up to the third and last
campsite at Wiñayhuayna (forever young) located at 8856 feet above sea level (2700
masl).
Wiñayhuayna, named after a variety of pink orchid that grows here, is the last official
campsite before Machu Picchu. The most impressive ruins until this point are located
minutes away, even if you are tired after today’s hike, it is a good idea to explore the
Wiñayhuayna archeological or just rest…

DAY 08 (B):
Wiñayhuayna, Intipunku, Machu Picchu, Aguas Calientes, Cusco
Today begins earlier than normal, after breakfast we say a farewell to the porters and set
off on the trail by 04:00 hrs in order to get to Machu Picchu. This last part of the trail from
Wiñayhuayna to Machu Picchu takes about one hour and a half of hiking and is clearly
marked, but you will be walking in darkness. It is highly recommended to bring a head lamp.
The path is narrow, traverses a lush cloud forest of giant ferns and brings an almost vertical
ascent of about 50 steps to Intipunku, the gate of the sun at 8920 feet above sea level
(2719 masl).
Machu Picchu – Day Four
Suddenly all efforts up until this point are rewarded with an unforgettable sight. A backdrop
of natural beauty, human art and forested peaks framing the magical city of Machu Picchu.
You will have plenty of time to take photos of the Lost city of
the Incas, from the classic postcard view and different angles around.A final short hike will
bring us to the entrance and into the heart of Machu Picchu itself, where
we spend the rest of the morning with a 2 hours guided tour and some more exploring on
your own.
The shuttle bus ticket from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes is included, departs every 15
minutes and will be available for you to descend whenever you decide it is time to go, just
double check your train schedule and be at the train station one hour before departure. The
train ticket included departs at 18:45 hrs. arriving to Ollantaytambo at approximately 20:18
It is recommended to upgrade your train to Vistadome service giving you more train
departure times and superior seat comfort for the ride back to Cusco. Whichever train
station you arrive (Ollantaytambo or Poroy) transfer from this location to Cusco will be
provided. You will arrive to Cusco at around 22:30 hrs. with the included service.

provided by the National Institute of Culture (government office in charge of the Inca Trail).
DAY 09: CUSCO, FULL DAY RAINBOW
Pick up from your hotel at 05:00 am, on our way we will go through different Andean
villages like the community of Chilca where we well have breakfast, and at the indicated
time we will start the hike to the upper community wal of Pampachiri, in this area we leave
the Mule driver (horse), then we will make a 30 minuts walk where. We will be able to
appreciate the mountain of seven colors, small lagoons and a part of Ausangate that is
covered with snow 6.732 (msnm), then we will return by the same place until Chilca, lunch
at a certain time we will return to the district of Checacupe visit to the surroundings like
colonial bridge and the colonial church, arriving in the afternoon to Cusco, overnight at
selected Hotel.
DAY 10: CUSCO -PUNO
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to the bus station to take the special
Tourist Service bus to Puno city, on the way the bus will stop in some interesting and
archaeological places such as: Pucara ruins, Sicuani; lunch in this place is included;
Raqchi, and Andahuaylillas. In all the way you will have a tourist guide. After 9 hrs
arrival, reception and transfer to the selected hotel.
DAY 11: UROS AND TAQUILE ISLAND
At 7:00 in the morning we embark in a motor boat. We first sail to the floating islands
of the Uros. These are artificial islands built out of a plant called
“totora”, which is a kind of reed. We continue on board of our motor boat, this time in
direction of the Taquile Island. We visit this amazing island and have
lunch in it. By the end of the afternoon, we are back in Puno. We are transferred to the
hotel for a beauty sleep.
DAY 12: JULIACA – LIMA – IQUITOS
Early in the morning, transfer from the hotel to the Juliaca airport (47 km. 1hour travel)
to take the flight Approx. 09.00 am. to Lima, arrival and connection flight to Iquitos at
12.45 pm. arrive in Iquitos Approx.14.40 pm. (these flights and times are only tentative)
On arrival you will be met and welcomed by our staff at the Luggage Claim area of the
Iquitos Int’l Airport where our staff will assist you and transfer to your selected Hotel, a
briefing about our services, what to expect during your stay, the do’s and don’ts in the
jungle and some essential tips will make your stay comfortable. Overnight.
DAY 13: IQUITOS / HELICONIA AMAZON RIVER LODGE (L, D)
After breakfast in the hotel, you will transfer to the Iquitos Port, where you will board one of
our speedboats to take you to the Heliconia Amazon River Lodge along the Amazon River.
During the boat ride observe the noticeable convergence of the brown turbid waters of theAmazon River with the dark waters of the Nanay River. Enjoy the impressive jungle
landscapes with the rustic small houses of the riverside towns. Then have a short stopover
in Monkey Island (in dry season you will visit Fundo Pedrito), a family social enterprise
focused on conserving and protecting endangered monkey species in the Northern
Amazon. The goal is to enlighten rainforest guests on the effort to reintegrate monkeys and
their survival in the wild. See the monkeys free in this reserve, not in cages. Their
temporary stay here depends on their capability to adapt back to its jungle habitat. After a
60-minute boat ride arrive at the Lodge where our staff will welcome you with an exotic
jungle drink. Then check-in and settle in your room, at your leisure. Afterward taste your
first Amazonia cuisine lunch. In the afternoon, begin your first excursion: set out to a jungle
hike into the Yanamono primary rainforest reserve, for approximately two hours
accompanied by our expert guides. They will point out and identify several flora species
such as heliconia flowers, medicinal plants and giant trees. You will also have the chance to
sight several birds species such as the Turkey Vulture (Cathartes Aura), Black Fronted
Nanbird (Monasa-Atia), And with a little luck you will be able to view a family of small
monkeys such as marmosets (Saguinus fusicollis), the Titi (Callicebus Mollock Mollock)
and the Squirrel monkey (Saimiri Boliviense). Return to the lodge for rest and relaxation
and be enthralled by your first, must-not-miss Amazon Sunset. As the darkness of evening
comes around, take a boat ride along one of the Amazon River’s tributaries for an exciting
evening in the jungle. With no lights, the jungle flora and fauna sparkle along the river´s
edge. Your expert boat guide to take you to where you can appreciate and listen to the
magical sounds of the jungle. If it is a clear night, you will see the bright magnificent
moonlight, as well as observe the stars and constellations. With some luck, you can also
see some falling stars, which are quite common in the area. Then motor back to the Lodge
to rest and relax for an early wake up the next day.
DAY 14: HELICONIA AMAZON RIVER LODGE (B, L, D)
Rise early for the Morning Bird Watching. In order to see the birds flocked together during
their morning feeding time, you will start very early going by boat to one of the several
streams to look out for a number of variety of Amazon birds. You will
be looking out for birds such as the Tuki(Jacana Jacana), Ringed Kingfisher (Ceryle-
Torquata), Black-Collared Hawk (Busarellus nigricollis),among others. Thereafter, you will
return to the lodge for a scrumptious and energizing
breakfast. Take a little rest, and then we will visit a riverside village to see an indigenous
tribe of the Yaguas community where you will have the opportunity to learn and see their
way of life along the Amazon River. See their homes, school, church, shops. Interact with
the people; learn their techniques of fishing and farming. Observe their customs and
tradition, and get enlightened by their unaffected and austere way of living. Return to the
lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will set off to a Native Fishing expedition unto one of the small
tributaries of the Amazon River. Learn the local techniques of fishing and for the most
daring you can try to fish for Piranhas. If you are lucky, you have your catch cooked for
lunch, when you return to the Lodge. During this excursion, you can also have the
opportunity to look out for the Pink River Dolphin (Inia Geoffrensis). Return to the Lodge for
lunch. In the evening, consider the Night Hike. Go on an enchanting evening trek within the
secure periphery of the Lodge and you will witness the entrancing
transformation from daytime to a night atmosphere. As you adjust to the dark environment,
you will appreciate the rainforest takes on a very different character and be aware of the
existence and habits of nocturnal jungle animals. It is the best time to see stunning tree
frogs, shy snakes, and other rainforest creatures that only come out at night. Notice a range
of completely distinctive fauna from the day as you listen to magical sounds of insects,
birds, jungle cats and night owls. After 30 minutes of hike, we back to the Lodge for Dinner.
DAY 15: NATIVE COMMUNITY IMMERSION IN A RIVERSIDE TOWN (B,L,D)
Enjoy a delicious breakfast before we will board the boat towards a lake in Yanamono
Island where you will be able to glimpse the Giant Water Lily, the Victoria Regia, and the
“Queen of water lilies”. Now renamed Victoria Amazonica, these native flora in the shallow
waters of the Amazon River basin are mostly found in oxbow lakes and bayous. You may
see some flowers that are white as they bloom on the first night some that have turned pink
on the second night after blooming. They can grow to 40 cm in diameter, and are pollinated
by scarab beetles. Victoria Amazonica is well known for its huge circular leaves, which are
often pictured with a small child sitting at the center of its leaf to display their size and
strength. Return to the Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take a ten-minute boat ride on the
Amazon River to a family farm for a Trapiche (roller-extracted sugar cane alcohol) Treat in
a rustic sugar cane distillery located along the river. Watch how the local’s process sugar
cane extracts using horses, and then ferment
sugar juice in wooden casks for some time to turn to liquor production. Get a taste of the
varied exotic beverages made from the sugar cane liquor and sugar by-products such as
molasses. You may want to buy some to take home for yourself..
DAY 16: IQUITOS / LIMA (B, L)
Enjoy a full breakfast before starting the rafting tour in the Amazon River. An exciting and
safe activity allows you to paddle in the largest river and make a side-excursion into the
flooded jungle or the small tributaries of the Amazon River. Quietly contemplate the
richness of nature slowly and without the noise that
scares off the animals and birds. Return to the Lodge for lunch and checkout. After lunch,
depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Iquitos
City and according to your departure, transfer to the airport. Arrive to Lima airport, transfer
to the hotel.
DAY 17: FULL DAY CARAL
Breakfast in the hotel and 07:00 a.m. Departure to Caral, (approximately 04 hours) in
tourist private mobility.
Then we will move towards Huacho – Vegeta, from where we will go to the Citadel and
religious center of CARAL, with the company of a local guide we will learn about one of the
oldest cities in America, where you can appreciate the great stepped pyramid, which had its
splendor 5000 years ago, you will discover its
circular plazas, residential areas and sunken temples. The walk will be made to the
viewpoint and you will be able to appreciate what was its cementery.
Following our tour we will go to the city of Huacho, where we will stop in a special
restaurant to take lunch (not included), take a tour of its main square, church and we will
end up visiting the San Pedro boardwalk where we can enjoy a beautiful view of the main
Huachana beaches. Free time to make souvenir purchases.
After this we will return to Lima city, arrive Approx. in 3 hours to the hotel.
DAY 18: LIMA -BUCHAREST
Free morning for personal activities (optional city tour – shoping) at proper time transfer
to the airport to international connection.
